About this treat
The lead treat of the Garden Range, and the one that converts the doubters. Thick strips of sweet potato dry into a firm, leathery chew that lasts longer than you'd expect.
We steam the strips first so they dry evenly and keep their colour. Nothing is added: no sugar, no oil, no flavouring.
These are firm, so break them into smaller pieces for little dogs and puppies.
How we make it
- Firm sweet potatoes from Hyderabad markets, scrubbed clean.
- Cut lengthwise into thick strips.
- Steamed for a few minutes until just flexible.
- About 12 hours of slow drying.
- Packed when a strip bends, then snaps with effort.
