About this treat
If you only buy one Frappies treat, make it this one. Chicken feet are the chew our own kennel dogs ask for by name, or at least by sitting very, very nicely.
Each foot is cleaned, peeled and trimmed by hand, then dried low and slow until it snaps clean. The texture is crunchy all the way through, which gives teeth something to work on, and feet are naturally rich in collagen and cartilage.
Buy the 500 g pack if your dog has one a day. It works out to the lowest price per kilo in the range.
How we make it
- Fresh feet arrive the same morning, on ice.
- We scald them, peel off the outer skin and clip every nail.
- They are blanched until the thickest pad is properly cooked through.
- Then about 11 hours in the dryer, at three falling temperatures.
- We break the thickest foot in each batch. If it doesn't snap clean, the batch goes back in.
